Rental Solutions Selected to Provide Equipment for First-of-its-Kind White House Event

for Annual Congressional “Luau” Picnic —

ELDERSBURG, Md. August 12, 2009. Rental Solutions (, the nation’s newest one-stop shop for equipment rentals and sales, was selected this year to provide kitchen equipment to the annual Congressional Picnic hosted by the president for members of Congress and their families on the south lawn of the White House.

Although the event is an annual tradition, this year’s theme was a Hawaiian luau, the first of its kind to be held at the White House.

“The event was not only unique in format for the White House, but was unique for our company as well,” said Tom Brown Jr., Vice President of Rental Solutions. “Security was tight as a drum, and we had to work very closely with the White House staff to ensure that everything was done to their requirements. We’re happy to report that all went well, and the event was a big hit.”

The rental company supplied customized ansul protected skid kitchens and equipment for preparing the luau, which was held on June 25th. Food for the event was prepared by famed Hawaiian chef Alan Wong and included traditional luau foods like kalua pig and lomi lomi salmon.
